Duration: 1 week

Location: Jean-Baptiste Clément secondary school in Paris
Time: 30 October – 3 November 2023

What if we learned we had only five days left before the end of the world ? How do our eyes change when we know that our society, or the town we live in, or the planet we know are limited ?

The purpose of the workshop is to explore the power of literature : creation. Because when something ends, there is room for something else. It is about worshipping some of the beauties of this world, why they must be preserved, what will happen if there is a social revolution and what would be the face of a new world.

Each session focuses on writing about a specific topic : environment and collapsology. Questions might be :

  • What would I do that I never did ?
  • What would my last week / day / hour on earth be like ?
  • What would the last two humans on earth talk about ? What would they do?

In partnership with a secondary school in Paris – collège Jean-Baptiste Clément – and the municipality, Constance de Saint Remy works with the participants discussing about the power of art and literature regarding sustainability issues and ecological questions. What if we learned we had only five days left before the end of the world ? How do our eyes change when we know that our society, or the town we live in, or the planet we know are limited ? When something ends, there is room for something else. Let’s worship some of the beauties of this world and imagine what will happen if there is a social revolution, what would be the face of a new world… The workshop will end with a reading time of all text materials in front of friends, teachers and families.
