Fabulamundi New Voices’ partners and community of playwrights met for the first time in Rome, for a four-days long programme full of encounters, dialogues, and exchanges in the beautiful setting of Villa Torlonia. The meeting brought together the 19 playwrights, the partners, and fellow dramaturgy experts to introduce New Voices, discussing its methodologies and path implementations in order to finalise the project’s 66 workshops key aspects and establish the Twinning Scheme mechanism along with the definition of the mobility program “Cross the Map”.
During the meeting, a peer-to-peer meeting was also held, going through New Voices’ core themes of gender equality, sustainability and digitisation, with the participation of key experts Azzurra Rinaldi – Director of the School of Gender Economics Unitelma Sapienza, Evein Obulor – Coordinator European Coalition of Cities Against Racism (ECCAR)/Germany, Paulien Geerlings – ETC Vice-President and Head Dramaturge at De Toneelmakerij, Amsterdam/The Netherlands, Monica Faggiani and Laura Tedesco from Amleta Association, an Italian social promotion association whose aim is to contrast gender inequality and violence in the world of entertainment.
