Green Theatre & Sustainability
2nd Peer-to-Peer Meeting
17th – 19th October 2024
Teatro Goldoni Venice
New Voices peer-to-peer meeting in Venice about Green Theatre & Sustainability took place from 17th to 19th October, in collaboration with Teatro Stabile del Veneto: a three-days-long meeting where the New Voices community of playwrights was involved in conversations, workshops and lectures centred on green dramaturgy, writing about climate change, theatre education tools and community engagement methods. The meeting brought together local speakers such as Dr Giovanni Cecconi by Venice Lab and from the Venice Sustainability Foundation, the ETC experts Johann Otten, Dramaturg at Deutsches Theater Berlin, and Maura Meyer, Head of DT Jung – Deutsches Theater Berlin; and included a sneak peek into the rehearsals of The Render by Big Art Group at Arteterminal.
In the context of the second peer-to-peer meeting of Fabulamundi New Voices in Venice, on October 5th the experts Lisa Burger and Paddy Dillon from Theatre Green Book met the New Voices community of playwrights and partners for an online focus meeting on sustainability and green policies for theatre.
