From 7 to 9 September 2025 at Teatro India, the ASSIMILATIVO workshop will reopen and delve into the work lines explored in previous spring sessions, with a group that will include both returning and new participants.
The stage space and performance are not merely a container or a platform, but a living organism, an open time-space in which to experiment with new possibilities of assimilation and release. Here, the material – bodily, sonic, visual, written – constantly reshuffles, becoming a vehicle for transformation. In this context, the performative act manifests as a game of constant interpenetration: between what is human and what exceeds it, between gesture and thought, between the intimate and the collective. To cross the environment, yes, but also to let oneself be crossed by it. To be part of a flow in which one blends with everything else, dissolving the boundaries between self and world, until becoming porous. Assimilate and release, receive and give back: a reciprocal movement that destabilizes closed identity to open it to the other, to the unexpected, to the formless. Games of relationship, resonance, listening. Every gesture, every sound, every voice, every image becomes a sensitive threshold, a possibility for transformation. The performance then does not represent, but vibrates. It does not show, but involves. It is a shared experience, in which those who observe and those who act meet in a common space of presence, attention, and possibility. Thus, on stage and off stage, a continuous reshuffling is activated: living matter, embodied experience, languages that contaminate one another. A practice that does not merely evoke the world, but traverses it anew, rewrites it, sets it in motion.
