Me, Myself and AI is a PAV project in the context of Fabulamundi Playwriting Europe “New Voices”, in collaboration with Fondazione Teatro di Roma – Teatro Nazionale.

Me, Myself and AI is a workshop exploring the relationship between artificial intelligence and playwriting. Drawing from Alan Turing’s reflections on the imitation of human intelligence, the workshop questions what truly distinguishes a machine from a human being, what the limits of AI are, and whether it can be considered an author.

From March 24 to 29 at Teatro India in Rome, ten participants will engage in a two-phase process. During the first three days, through collective brainstorming and the use of ChatGPT, they will explore the dramaturgical implications of AI. In the following three days, under the guidance of Roberto Scarpetti, they will experiment with writing using artificial intelligence tools.

From March to May, participants will further develop their texts individually. In June, the second part of the workshop will take place, featuring playwrights Constance de Saint Remy and Katerina Souckova. The process will culminate in a public reading at Teatro India, providing a space for discussion on new forms of authorship in the age of AI.
