Visual and sound poetry lab dedicated to Patrizia Vicinelli

Recovering the philosophy of neo-avant-garde language of Gruppo 63, of poets Vicinelli and Emilio Villa, and applying it to our reality – what could this entail? Challenging language and its limits in 2021 is a crazy and exhilarating purpose. From these premises intends to start NEL CENTRO CUORE BOLLENTE AURORA (In the center of the boiling heart), the permanent laboratory of visual and sound poetry dedicated to Patrizia Vicinelli, on the occasion of the exhibition dedicated to her at MACRO. The workshop, led by playwright and director Francesca Caprioli, is part of the activities of the Fabulamundi Playwriting Europe project curated by PAV.

From 23 to 26 November three different artistic personalities, Paola Senatore, Carlotta Mangione and Valeria Belardelli, led by Caprioli, will work on the same themes by integrating their own expressive identities in mutual work to activate the alchemical, maieutic process of the birth of a new poem. that respects the Group 63 paradigm and challenges and updates it to 2021.

Visitors, for a number of 5 people per day, will be able to take part in the workshop, by booking at the email organization@pav-it.eu. The four days will offer the visitor of the Vicinelli exhibition the opportunity to be an integral part of the creative process of which the writer is a pioneer. The permanent laboratory completes and integrates the museum exhibition with the contents produced at every encounter, welcoming the visitor to the museum, and engaging in group discussions. If poetry is alive it must be a continuous flow of exchange and reflection, so the guest of the Vicinelli exhibition can feel empowered and charged with Patrizia’s profound message: we are all part of the creative process, and it is necessary to take responsibility for the contents and crisis forms. It is necessary to “cross the river” and find oneself there in the epiphanic sharing of one’s own importance… in the center of the boiling aurora heart.

The activity is part of the Fabulamundi Playwriting Europe project, promoted by Roma Culture and winner of the Public Notice at the same time – Rome 2020 – 2021 – 2022 edited by the Cultural Activities Department and is carried out in collaboration with SIAE.
