The workshop “Personal story as the inspiration for a theatre play” will be devoted to finding personal stories of the participants about which they would like to write a monologue/drama. The workshop will deal with the first phase of that process: awareness of personal material from which a story can potentially be built, processing and selection of that material, and the beginning of writing a monologue/drama. Participants will have several tasks: to find the most important minute in their life so far, and to focus on moments in their life when they were afraid or ashamed of themselves. Based on all that, the participants will start writing their monologues/short plays. In the period after the workshop, they will be able to send their works to mentors, and to further develop monologues/plays. In addition, the participants will see performances based on a personal story, Our son by Patrik Lazic, in the Heartefact House during this period.
The workshop is a continuation of a successful collaboration with Philological High School in Belgrade: last April we held a similar workshop and almost half of the participants are now students of theatre or movie academies!
