This workshop aims to introduce young people (ages 16-30) to playwriting and the creative process. Led by playwright Helena Tornero, in collaboration with French playwright Constance de Saint Remy, the program guides participants in writing and staging a play.
Participants, selected through a public call, come from diverse backgrounds and levels of theatrical experience, with interests spanning playwriting, acting, directing, and other aspects of theatre-making. The goal is to develop a collective creation process, culminating in a final presentation.
For the 2025 edition, the workshop will take Medea by Euripides as its starting point, reimagining the story to explore gender roles and societal expectations of women today.
From 12–14 June, Helena Tornero and the participants will travel to Théâtre Ouvert in Paris for a group mobility experience, working in synergy with Constance de Saint Remy.
