ELS MALNASCUTS is a theatre laboratory for people from 16 to 27 years old, professional and non-professional, to experiment in any field of the living arts. The goal is to expand the frameworks on what we are used to working on, generate a space of risk and discover new possibilities of expression.
The shows of ELS MALNASCUTS are generated from an open call from which a group arises. This forms the artistic team of the show that will be created together. After a few months of rehearsal, a sample of the result of the experiment is presented in the Beckett Room. The starting point is Samuel Beckett’s Happy Days. The idea is to write a new play out of this play making emphasis on the gender question and the role of women in current society.
There will also be a dramaturgy course with Helena Tornero to give us tools to generate new contemporary dramaturgy and investigate them.
The Polish playwright and director Ewa Mikuła will participate in the rehearsal process by proposing a workshop.
