This workshop is designed to give school students (ages 17-18) a first insight into playwriting. How do you come up with an idea? What makes a scene work?
How do you build a character or invent a plot? What makes dialogue successful? The focus will lie on finding out through trying out – writing exercises will lead to first scenes and miniplays written by the students that are then discussed in the group. In addition to writing, we will read professional plays to get a further insight into the tools of the trade.
