Mark Oltean was born in Oradea in 2001. Between 2016 and 2020, he volunteered and acted as a child actor at the Szigliget Theaterin Oradea. After graduation, he began his studies at the University of Arts from Târgu Mureș (UAT), majoring in Theatrology-Dramaturgy.
In 2023, he completed the BA at UAT, where he also completed the pedagogy module in addition to his major. In the same year, he began his master’s studies in Drama Writing.
Mark’s main goal for the future is to develop more professional skills for representation both written and visual, and also to get more practice in adult puppet theatre and object animation.
After having more experience in these, he wants to create new approaches in working with more complicated themes such as climate change or LGBTQ.
In between (working title)
Samuel is the 19-year-old son of a Catholic priest from Romania, and Abe is a 22-year-old guest worker from Iran. Despite their initial deception, they form a bond, complicated by Samuel’s growing feelings for Abe and his struggle with his own identity and beliefs. The tension escalates when Samuel learns that Abe has left abruptly, supposedly returning to his family in Iran, leaving Samuel to confront his emotions and the consequences of his desires.
